Weird and Wonderful

We know in fashion design there are the beautiful garments and down right outrageous ones. Turning up at fashion shows can give you a mix of elegant evening gowns, to models walking around in a lobster shaped dress all in one collection. Weird yes, but almost captivating and more memorable to look at. Who says you can't have a little fun in fashion design?

The Pre Fall Moschino collection has been released. In the past, Moschino have raised many an eye brow for their collection in A/W 2014 which showcased models wearing bags and clothing which resembled food items such as the McDonalds chips, however not so much a 99p thing anymore with a Moschino label being on it. Therefore, for their new collection they had to make another bold impression, which they certainly did. With tape measure belts, iron marks and printed measurements on the clothing this was a strange, yet clever collection from Moschino. Even though it's a little bit of fun, it takes into consideration the sewing and work that goes into the clothing from the workers point of view, although I wouldn't particularly like to walk around the city with the measurement of my bum going across my body.

Even though the ideas were quirky, the style was kept sleek and simple with monochrome being a hit once again. They also pictured some more, if you like, sensible clothing to show the different varieties for the collection such as brightly coloured coat and metallic and shiny inspired pieces. The orange coat in the picture above has a matching look of Holly GoLightly's (Audrey Hepburn) coat in Breakfast at Tiffany's, so I'd definitely be keen to try on that piece, however not so much the iron marked dress.
